STORMWATER DESIGN

Directing rainwater and snow melt away from buildings on residential, business, or community landscapes is a requirement for any project. But with the increase in weather severity and frequency of flood events, it is more important than ever for every project to manage their stormwater in a way that minimizes stress on our shared systems by capturing runoff in a variety of ways.

I have experience designing a wide range of stormwater elements such as bioswales, infiltration ponds, porous pavement, subsurface water storage, and greywater harvesting. These systems are designed to address critical stormwater goals, including the reduction of peak water flow during storms, filtration of pollutants, increased groundwater recharge, and prevention or reduction of soil erosion. Stormwater features are beautiful landscape elements in addition to the practical functions that they serve.
